Our 2008 Halloween Costume Parade Saw Some Really Wild Ideas!
We were hoping for great weather -- well, we didn't get it, but the rains DID let up for just long enough for us to hold a wonderful 20th Annual Festival at Bel Air Halloween
Costume Parade!
The event kicked off at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 25th, after about 750 kids received colorful trick-or-treat bags and candy,
courtesy of the Festival at Bel Air merchants and WXCY-FM 103.7 FM - "Your Favorite Country."
An illustrious panel of experts, who shall remain nameless, picked 30 semifinalists, and 10 finalists, all under the "direction" of Guest Ghost Host Dave Hovel from WXCY-FM!
The Grand Prize Winner, 2nd and 3rd Place Winners were then chosen
by the acclamation of the crowd. All 10 Finalsts received special
prize bags with gifts and special favors; the Grand Prize Winner, received $100 in gift cards to Five Below; 2nd Place received $75 in gift cards to Klein's Family Markets; 3rd Place received $50 in gift cards to Chuck E. Cheese.
After the judging was complete EVERYONE was invited to
"Trick or Treat" all the stores in the Festival displaying the
official 2008 Halloween Poster, until 2:00 pm!
